Bothy Stores brings featured and commissioned products to Kestin Hare stores at Custom Lane for the AW18 Shelter collection.

Kestin Hare at Custom Lane is delighted to be featuring Bothy Stores commissioned products as part of their Shelter collection this autumn.

Bothy Stores is the trading arm of the Bothy Project, selling the Artist Bothy and a collection of site-specific designer objects. The products can now be found at Kestin Hare’s Cruiser Store in Leith, alongside an installation based on the very popular artist residency site Inshriach Bothy in Cairngorm National Park.

Bothy Stores was founded in 2016 to commission new and innovative work from Scottish makers in response to Bothy Project sites.

Each commission is specific to a given bothy, with the artists and designers undertaking research residencies to develop products that respond to the bothy’s environment and purpose.

In April 2018 Bothy Stores launched their major new, signature product: the Artist Bothy.

The Artist Bothy was developed in response to growing demand for a self-contained cabin that can be located almost anywhere. It is a refined and updated version of the first Bothy Project bothy at Inshriach.

The prototype Artist Bothy is hosted at Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop in Newhaven, and is available for viewings.
