Talks at the Lane is an eclectic and informative series of lectures and conversations around the themes of design and making.

Based on seasonal themes, we aim to provide engaging and lively discussions that explore what motivates our speakers to create, and the influences behind their practice.

We see no boundaries between the speakers and the audience and would like to invite everyone present to be involved in the dialogue, as much as they wish to be, throughout the evening. In return, we make a pledge to provide a little sustenance and a convivial atmosphere to enhance audience engagement and help get the conversation flowing.

Our next talk is Niall Maxwell’s Rural Office for Architecture, click here for more details.

The Talks at the Lane team is a group of architects who work together in Leith, Edinburgh. They are Jan Hajek, Natasha Huq & John Robson, supported by Custom Lane, Groves-Raines Architects and GRAS. Between us we have a complementary and wide ranging skillset but what really binds us is an unwavering enthusiasm for bringing people together and learning/sharing from each other.

We are looking for participants (and event sponsors) for our talk series. If you would like to find out more or would like to get involved get in touch.
