TATL are delighted to welcome Elias and Yousef Anastas, for the final event of Season 2.

Elias and Yousef are partners at AAU ANASTAS architects, co-founders of Local IndustriesRadio alHara and The Wonder Cabinet.

AAU ANASTAS, based in Bethlehem and Paris, focuses on linking crafts and architecture at various scales from furniture design to territorial explorations.

The studio advocates the use of structural stone in contemporary architecture, both in Palestine and elsewhere. The founders are particularly interested in the politics of stone use for low carbon structures, more resilient cities and more responsible extraction.

Elias and Yousef co-founded Radio alHara, a community based online radio that weaves unconventional connections through sonic experiences. Linking hyper contextual conditions to create a new strengthened global critical discourse is at the intersection of all of their practices.

Most recently they have launched the Wonder Cabinet, a space-based initiative in Bethlehem for cultural production that gathers a community of artisans and artists in the aim of producing a culture of global provincialism.
