To accompany their exhibition, Symbiont, Natalya and Fiona of PYRUS invite you to join close collaborator, Cara Guthrie, for a botanical ceramic workshop.

As part of their exhibition, Symbiont, botanical artists Natalya Ayers and Fiona Inglis, of PYRUS, introduce a series of curated events and workshops from fellow creatives.

Alongside their collaborative project exhibited as part of Symbiont, Natalya and Fiona invite you to join Cara Guthrie for a botanical ceramic workshop.

For this two hour workshop, Cara warmly invites you to bring along found organic objects — twigs, shells, leaves, flowers, pebbles — from your favourite wild spots, be it your window box to a wind-swept beach, to form a relief work from clay.

You will be introduced to the sculptural ability of clay and mould your own relief artwork using your found objects which will be fired, glazed and sent back to you afterwards.

Cara, was born and raised in Scotland, with ceramic experience gained in London, Stockholm and rural Denmark. Now based between Cumbria and Glasgow, Cara’s work graces tables at Fhior and The Little Chartroom and retails at Kettles Yard and TOAST, among others.
