Part one (Saturday 24th March) will introduce participants to the process of press-mould making. Part two (Saturday 7th April) will offer participants the opportunity to decorate their casts, followed by a demonstration of the smoke-firing process. This will give participants an insight into the technical skills and methods used to make the work in the exhibition.
After the firing process is complete, participants will be able to collect their finished works from the Custom Lane reception.
Both workshops will run from 12pm – 3pm; participants are welcome to bring their own lunch with them, make use of our cafe, Williams & Johnson, or pop to the Leith Farmers Market.
The workshops are open to participants of all levels of experience from beginners to ceramic practitioners.
Each ticket grants admission to both workshops, and can also be purchased directly from the reception at Custom Lane without a booking fee.
