On 13th June, Architecture Fringe launches ‘Uncommon Lives’, a series of events exploring less-common or less-talked about experiences of our built environment. Everybody senses the world differently, and for many reasons, including experiences of ability, race, gender, age or sexual orientation, yet our built environment doesn’t always reflect this. The Architecture Fringe seeks to move beyond a standards-led discussion of 1:12 ramp gradients and wheelchair turning circles and explore access, equality and diversity in a more complex, challenging and engaging way.
