Continuing Taylor’s ongoing exploration of the beauty, pathos and humour inherent in the everyday object, incident and environment, Dark Interiors records the packaging that passes through domestic life, flattened for recycling. The deconstructed forms of these containers have been transferred to paper using traditional hand-printing techniques.
The dark silhouettes (over 100 in number) are punctuated by fold lines, surface texture and the occasional embossed text or pharmaceutical Braille; a monochromatic record of domestic consumption.
