Custom Lane based jeweller Ruth Leslie's appeal for simple, elegant forms inspire her collaborative, editorial style fashion shoot.

A graduate from the Glasgow School of Art Silversmithing & Jewellery, Ruth creates minimal, bold forms exploring purpose with a variety of metals creating contemporary jewellery and sculptural pieces in their own right.

Working in a variety of metals, including silver, gold and titanium, Ruth creates pieces that are inspired by the subtle details within fabrics and the structural forms within textile machinery, creating tactile, refined forms.

This process helped inspire Ruth to collaborate with photographer Katariina Yli-Malmi on a classic, editorial style photoshoot exploring her unique approach to wearable jewellery.

Ruth is part of the Crafts Council / Craft Scotland Hothouse 2017 talent lineup, an intensive development programme for emerging makers.
